Financial Management User Roles

Financial Management user roles determine the tasks that users can perform in the
application. Rinancial Management User Roles lists the Financial Management roles that can be
assigned and the tasks that each role can perform. You assign users to roles in the User
Management Console of Shared Services. For more information on assigning roles to users, see

Advanced User Use the Browser View of the view pane and has access to the Running Tasks featu

Application Administrator Perform all administrative tasks in Financial Management
Access to this role overrides other access settings for the user. A user who creates
automatically assigned this role.
Note A user with this role only will not be able to provision users. The user must
Services Provisioning Manager role.
Approve Journals Approve and reject journals

The privileges associated with these roles also depend on the user's rights to acces
For example, a user assigned to the Reviewer 1 role can view and change a block o
at Review Level 1. After Reviewer 1 promotes the block of data to Review Level 2,
block of data but can no longer change it.
Note Users with one of these roles can see data in the First Pass and Published s
review level state and higher. They cannot see data in the Not Started state or in r
than what they are assigned.
