PROJECT : Supply of Services for the Comprehensive Maintenance and Support Services for IT
Infrastructure of DepED Central Office
This Bid Bulletin is hereby issued for the information and guidance of all prospective bidders. It shall
form an integral part of the bidding documents issued earlier relative to the above project.
I. Section I. Invitation to Bid, Page 4; and Section III. Bid Data Sheet, ITB Clauses 21 and 24.1, Page 38
The Submission and Opening of Bids is hereby moved to August 20, 2010, 10:00 A.M., Bulwagan
ng Karunungan, Ground Floor, Rizal Building I, DepED Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
II. Annex “A” – Technical Specifications; and Bid Bulletin No. 1 dated August 3, 2010
1. Relative to the written inquiries raised by a prospective bidder, the following are hereby
changed:
The Licensing Agreement for both the DepED Help Desk System and the DepED Backup
System (CA Brightsor) shall be for one (1) year.
a. What is our scope in the 350 units Laptop? Labor only or Parts and Labor?
Labor only since the laptops is no longer under warranty and will only need basic trouble
shooting and preventive maintenance.
b. For the Desktop, printers and scanner, are we limited to use only the service units and
the identified parts to support these equipment? Or we will provide all the parts to repair
all the defects of these equipment?
The Service Provider will only need to supply the number of pieces specified per item in
the Bid Bulletin No. 1, Page 15, enumerated under III. Service Level Agreement, Pre-
Conditions, no. 8.
c. What is our scope for the network equipment? Labor only or parts and labor?
Labor only.
d. The helpdesk will have operation on Saturdays, 8AM to 5PM, how many staff do they
require to report? And who are those staff (helpdesk, systems, network)
Saturdays require the same number of staff as any regular day, i.e., one (1) System
Administrator, one (1) Network Administrator and eight (8) Technical Engineers.
All other provisions not herein modified shall remain in full force and effect.
