For a general corporate identity (CI) in all areas of ErgoPack Deutschland GmbH, a
comprehensive identity profile has been developed, which is used throughout all platforms in
terms of logo, colours and typography. On the basis of these graphical elements all other
applications and implementations of communication measures can be processed, which
contribute to the development and maintenance of the brand image of ErgoPack
Deutschland GmbH. This CI Guide presents the various design elements in detail and
documents how they fit into the environment and performance of ErgoPack Deutschland
GmbH.

What is Corporate Identity (CI)?

Corporate Identity represents the totality of all characteristics that make ErgoPack Deutschland GmbH so different from other companies.

CI is the companys self-perception (the way we see ourselves), not be confused with the public image (the way others see us).

It doesnt only contain a communication concept, but is a central component of the strategic management of the company. The CI of ErgoPack Deutschland
GmbH is created through the coordinated use of communication, appearance and behaviour. The goal is that the verbal and non verbal signals match the
developed concept internally as well as externally and fill the company philosophy with life.

Corporate identity is often divided into different areas:


- Corporate Behaviour: organizational behaviour in- and outwards, for example towards customers, suppliers and dealers. It is the description of a
company to the public.
- Corporate Communication: is the entire company communication both externally and internally. It is used for example in advertising and corporate
communications..
- Corporate Culture: can be described as corporate philosophy.
- Corporate Design: is the visual identity. It is used, for example, in the design of the logo, business cards, online publications, letterheads, etc.

The most important part of corporate identity is the guide, standards and values.

What is Corporate Design (CD)?

The key for social acting and mutual influence is communication. It has always been the use of signs and media to communicate with each other. In the case
of non-verbal communication, the use of signs in connection with corporate design is important.

Corporate Design comprises the entire image of a company. It is the sum of visual communication and not only defines the logo, but also the corporate
identity, the corporate colour and the basic design grid of all advertising media as well as communication media.

The goal is a high recognition of ErgoPack Deutschland GmbH in order to position and establish a strong and distinctive personality the corporate design is
to keep strictly and uniformly in all areas, both internal and external.

We have placed particular emphasis on the following criteria during the


development of the logo:

Highlighting the company name boldly and clearly


Maintaining the mobile strapping system with the patented ChainLance,
on the basis of the history to convey a strong recognition.
A clearer emphasis on ergonomics by the user in upright position.

The new Logo is based already on familiar elements such as the user and the
strapping system, including the ChainLance. These well-known elements
have been used to provide a clearer and calmer structure, but at the same
time to underline the ergonomics and innovation of the mobile strapping 1999 - 2010
system.

The combination of text and graphic is named as Word-Image-Logo. This


makes the logo unique and different from other brands, which consist for
example, of pure text or merely of a graphic.

The logo is a core component of corporate design. It is a sign which represents ErgoPack Deutschland GmbH. It is not only a signboard, it also guarantees a
clear identification and thus a strict demarcation from other companies.

Its shape reflects an ErgoPack machine strapping a pallet and thus links the product with the product name. Therefore, it is unique and fulfills the
functionality of a logo.

Form:

The logo is drawn.

This form consist of three components:

1. The presentation of the strapping machine with the ChainLance that


straps a pallet, including a user in upright position. This reflects the
ergonomics of the strapping machine.
2. The company name ErgoPack as a lettering.
3. The combination of 1 and 2 in the colour white on a red background
with rounded corners and black shadows.

The logo shall not be modified in proportions or representation

Its not allowed to write any text under the logo.

The files in the following directory can only be used after consulting the
marketing department:

Logo Proportions
The separate units measure as follows:

The complete Logo:


Complete Logo (Image- and Word Logo incl. red background):
Dimension of Logo Heights x 1,3
Dimension of Logo Length x 1,2

For Example:
Dimension of Logo Height is 10cm x 1,3 = 13 cm
Dimension of Logo Length is 15cm x 1,2 = 18 cm
Dimension of the whole red Backround = 18 x 13 cm

The distances between Word-Logo (ErgoPack) and Image-Logo (ChainLance with strapping
machine and user) are fix and shall not be modified. x1,3

The Logo can be scaled at will , however the proportions must be always preserved.

The smallest dimension for the complete Logo:

For a smooth recognition of the ErgoPack Logo, it should not be smaller than the below size :

Position and Measurements of the Logo


On a printed page the logo appears, only in the upper right corner. Therefore, sufficient space must be available, so that the completeness as well as the
legibility of the logo are ensured. The protection zone for the logo on a printed DIN A4 page is in the picture below, in blue with the fixed measurements.

The protection zone must be observed in order for the logo to have the appropriate space. This shelter is clearly defined! If this cant be observed,
consultation with the Marketing Department must be held. The dimensions for the shelter are shown in the drawing down. No other elements (graphics,
text, image, etc.) may appear inside of it.

Illegal Logo Versions

The ErgoPack logo can not be modified. Logo prints may only be made after
submitting the samples listed here.

The listed examples on the right are not permitted!

The following application errors must be absolutely avoided:

In very few cases, the text and the lettering are noticed as a creative unit. However, the
textuality as well as the legibility depends on the typography. In general, typography is
meant as a design process using fonts, images, surfaces and typographic space on print
media. This applies to the printing as well as to the online sector.
