Identify and understand key unit vocabulary;
Understand and accurately use ed and ing adjectives;
Correctly form adjectives from verbs and noun forms

Optional outcomes: Recognise positive and negative attitudes indicated in spoken English;
Recognise and use extreme adjectives

Main activities: Notes:

Warmer: Saying year dates in various ways. Individually though may also be
pairs

Matching vocabulary to definitions. This may be assessed at the end of

the unit.

Selected activities from Unlock SB pages 162 to 166. Some activities will be more
accessible than others.

Possible use of an additional resource from Empower, copied Optional/Reflexive activity

for students.

Homework/ reminders for students:

Homework will be set in the lesson following this one. (It will be to revise parts of Unit 9 for a short
assessment the next day).
