RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Linoit allows a teacher to create an interactive bulletin board. Teachers and students can post sticky notes on to the bulletin. The
sticky notes can be normal text, a video, an image, or a file attachment. The teacher can set due dates on the sticky notes.
Students can comment on each others post, or they can comment on something that I have posted. Like the students I can
comment on what they post. The site is easy to use and allows for communication and collaboration between the students and
myself. It is a fun and different approach to collaboration in the classroom.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your classroom, or among
students and others outside of the classroom?

If I want to have my students work on a group project, I can have them use Linoit to collaborate with each other and brainstorm
on their project. As the teacher I will be able to go onto the bulletin board to see how the students are doing and comment on
their work. I would be able to give them feedback if they need clarification or tell them how good their ideas are. I can also post
resources on the bulletin board for the students to use so they are not using the world wide web. Students would be able to use
this site at home after school to review or work on homework if need be.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
I would give Linoit a score of 2. It would help engage the students into the lesson that I am teaching. Using Linoit would get the
students to collaborate with each other and focuses on their learning. They can interact with each other using Linoit if they have
questions on an assignment or if they missed class they could ask on the bulletin board to the other students to see what they
missed. This site allows me to see what they students are understanding and if there is anything that I would need to review with
them. While using Linoit I can directly provide feedback to my students, such as recognizing effort or providing recognition.
