Frost baby sighe and almost started to cry. “lam so tired and have
nowhere to go."
Wise owl said, ‘have a rest in the roots of this tree. | will watch and
keep you safe. Perhaps things will look better after a nice
nap.
So frost baby curled up in the roots of the tall, tall tree and fell fast
asleep. In the branches far above him, wise owl kept watch.
Meanwhile, in argtherpart ofthe dseP woods Mother Snow sat
sewing a snow blanket. she finished it, she got up and carried
cee eRea Pe in the woods to lay it gently over the forest
oor. doing this, she noticed something in the roots of
one of the tall, tall trees.
‘what is this,’ she wondered, and went to have a closer look. There
in the roots, all curled up and sound asleep, Mother Snow found a
wee little frost baby! She gently picked him up still fast asleep, and
carried him to her home.
