Unit Summary:
The Students will be taking on a hands on approach at analyzing the significant impact of the Renaissance in Europe during the 15th through the 17th century.
Students will be looking specifically at the cultural, artistic, and intellectual impact the Renaissance had on Italy and how the ideals of that period spread across
Europe. Students will learn about the origins of the Renaissance following the Middle Ages, the key ideas of humanism, the famous artists and their artwork they
created, the different art techniques they used, the important patterns that sponsored their work, and how the ideas of the Renaissance spread across Europe
(i.e Germany and England).Students will be able to distinguish the contributions of each of the artist during the Renaissance and identify the different pieces of
art they created.
