    - - -I have ordered 5mm polycord belting from the society, will this size provide
    an adequate drive for normal OT fly cutter work?

    A. - - -5mm Polycord is fine for main drives (like headstock to flywheel or electric
    motor) but it is really too thick for driving a cutting frame. I use 3mm for most cutting
    frame belts but 4mm if I expect to do any heavy work or to drive a geared cutting
    frame, which takes more power. The smallest cutting frames may be driven by 2mm
    belt.
