A random no longer short story I am writing

I finally reached the 15000 meter mark, I can find a rank-5 artefacts here! I just need to look for
one and avoid being eaten... I went down the steep narrow slope, the path split into 4 widening
haphazardly placed passageways, thats where the monster usually are, picked the second left one,
took a winding s-shaped curve, dodged under the huge tentacle infested wolfs stomach and sliced it
open with a top-grade rank 4 artefact. Then I turned around to deal with the tentacled parasite that
would most likely emerge,
Good thing I always prepare properly before going to a new layer of the dungeon, instead of
rushing down after I can easily beat the previous layers monsters, that also makes sure that I can
escape before dying, why am I even talking to myself in my head? Probably because its lonely and
it keeps me from getting bored. Yes! A rank-5 one, now I have to find out what it does, I hope it
isnt the rare self-sacrificial kind, those are really dodgy. So I poured my essence into it while
mentally shouting at it to show the inscription. And... it was a low-grade rank-5 blaster, you load
them with essence and it shoots all of it out whenever you want it to.
