WHAT IS FOUNDRY?

Facility that produces metal castings and offers related services such
as mold-making, melting, pouring, degassing, heat treating, surface
cleaning, and other finishing operations.

In simplified terms, a foundry is a factory where castings are

produced by melting metal, pouring liquid metal into a mold, then
allowing it to solidify.
