The results of the Borehole investigations are given in the annexure and the observations are
given as follows.
- Gravelly Sandy Clay fill containing building debris from 0.0m up to a depth of about
1.00m, with an average SPT 'N' value of about 34.
- Clayey Sand (coarse fine grained) up to a depth of about 2.00m, with a SPT 'N'
value >50.
- Sandy Clay with some coarse quartz particles up to a depth of about 3.00m, with an
average SPT 'N' value of about 72.
- Clayey Sand with some coarse quartz particles up to a depth of about 4.50m, with an
average SPT 'N' value of about 55.
- Sandy Clay (coarse fine grained sand) up to a depth of about 6.00m, with an
average SPT 'N' value of about 38.
- Gravelly Sandy Clay up to a depth of about 7.50m, with a SPT 'N' value >50.
- Silty Sand up to a depth of about 9.00m, with a SPT 'N' value >50.
- Medium coarse Sand with some coarse quartz particles up to a depth of about 12.00m,
with SPT 'N' values >50.
- Coarse fine grained Sand with some coarse quartz particles up to a depth of about
15.00m, with a SPT 'N' value >50.
- Coarse fine grained Sand (very dense) up to the depth of investigation (a depth of
about 16.80m) and the bore hole was terminated at this depth due to encountering
Bedrock.
The ground water table was observed at a depth of about 6.50m from the existing ground level
Clayey Sand fill from 0.0m up to a depth of about 1.00m, with a SPT 'N' value >50.
Gravelly Sandy Clay fill up to a depth of about 3.00m, with average SPT 'N' values
ranging from about >50 17.
Coarse fine grained Sand with some mica up to a depth of about 4.50m, with a SPT
'N' value >50.
Rock boulder from 4.50m up to a depth of about 6.50m (rock coring was done).
Clayey Sand up to a depth of about 7.00m, underlain by another weathered rock
boulder up tots depth of about 10.00m (rock coring was done).
Gravelly Sandy Clay up to a depth of about 10.50m, underlain by Coarse fine
grained Sand with traces of Clay up to a depth of about 12.00m, with an average SPT
'N' value of about 10.
Highly weathered rock up to the depth of investigation (a depth of about 16.00m),
with an average SPT 'N' value of about 12 and the bore hole was terminated at this
depth due to encountering Bedrock.
The ground water table was observed at a depth of about 4.80m from the existing ground
level
