Working with SAP HANA involves managing various types of objects and development artifacts - in other words, content.
Effective management of content changes across an SAP HANA-based system landscape requires a transport management
system. SAP is offering three specific transport techniques for different approaches to SAP HANA content development:

1. SAP HANA Application Lifecycle Management is a new and lightweight SAP HANA application that can be utilized to
transport content that is native to SAP HANA. Examples of such content are data models built for data mart analytics scenarios,
or application content built using SAP HANA Extended Application Services (XS).
2. The Change and Transport System (CTS) of ABAP has been enhanced so that it can also be used for transporting non-ABAP
objects known as enhanced CTS or CTS+. SAP HANA content can be handled like any other non-ABAP content in a CTS
transport landscape and is transported with Enhanced CTS (CTS+).
3. In this scenario SAP HANA content is exclusively used by ABAP applications (ABAP for SAP HANA) and is transported with
HANA Transport Container: HANA Transport Container is an ABAP development object to integrate SAP HANA repository
objects into a standard ABAP transport request with a logical transport object. It allows to transport SAP HANA repository
objects together with ABAP development objects synchronously in the standard Change and Transport System (CTS).
