Police Conduct Shooting Investigation 300 E. Church Street

On November 16, 2017 at approximately 5:05 PM, Champaign Police responded to the 300 block of E.
Church in regards to a person who had been shot. Officers located a 45-year-old male gunshot victim
from Champaign outside of a residence in that block. Officers provided medical assistance to the
victim while waiting for an ambulance. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of a
non-life threatening injury.

Officer conducted a preliminary investigation and learned that the shooting took place outside a
residence in the 300 block of E. Church. At this time, no further suspect information will be released.

This incident remains under investigation and the Champaign Police Department asks that anyone with
information relating to this shooting to contact the Champaign Police Department Investigations
Division at 217-351-4545.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s)
responsible for this crime.
