Investigations in Science 7 November 17, 2017

Announcements:
I know your childs science section is bursting at the seams. Students can
clean out their science section of ALL materials EXCEPT their current warm-up
sheet. Please have your child leave the papers in a safe place at home since our
concept continue to build on what we learned this unit.

SGA is still collecting food donations for Olney Help. Each grade level is
competing to win free ice cream! Last year 7th grade won, I hope we can win again
this year.

What we did this week:

 This week we finished up our hydroponics unit by completing a reflection
about their hydroponics system. They created graphs and data tables to see how
their plant grew compared to other lab groups within the class. They will be
reflecting on what they felt went well and what they would change for next
time. We will be eating our basil with tomato and mozzarella today. Students will
also start bringing home their supplies they brought in next week.
We also had a town hall meeting where Dr. Smith and Mr. Ingram talked to
students about appropriate behaviors in school as well on the buses.
