Evaluation of Curriculum Change in Junior Cycle

A new framework for the Junior Cycle was released in 2012. This poster outlines the reformed
framework and also highlights the difficulties with implementing such a drastic change to how the
junior cycle is delivered.

CONCLUSION
The changes that are to be put in place should impact the students in a positive way. The idea of this
reform is to allow students to build upon their interests. Students will be the leaders of their own
learning. They will also be assessed throughout their school life so there is less focus and pressure on
a final exam.
