In the students classroom, they are working on a new math
concept - Number Sense. My sire supervisor has asked me to
come up with different ways to help teach Child A Base Ten
Block lesson. I have found four different worksheets that will
help him gain an understanding of Base Ten Blocks. This task
will be divided up into four different lessons - one worksheet
per day.
Worksheet focused on the new math concept - Number Sense.
More specifically Base Ten Blocks.
Objectives:
1. The worksheets will help staff to evaluate his
understanding of Base Ten Blocks.
2. The worksheet will help introduce the new math concept
of Base Ten Blocks to Child A.
3. The worksheet will help the child gain a better
understanding of Base Ten Blocks as he completes the
four worksheets. This will provide him chance to practice
the concept.
Materials:
- Four Base Ten Block worksheet
- Base Ten Block manipulative
- Pencil
- Highlighter
- Scissors/Glue
Description:
1. I will set out the worksheet in front of the child.
2. I will explain the work sheet to him and use the
manipulatives.
3. I will read/highlight the questions to the child and prompt
him to answer the questions.
