Materials:
Poster - Community Guidelines (rules)
pen/marker

The Plan:
Anticipatory Set:
Today we are going to make a few expectations for practicum by each
of you (if 2) on how we should act when working together.

Introduce the Lesson:

Today we will be talking as a group to create a rules (community
guidelines) sheet.
I want you (each of you) to give at least 2 ideas on how you think
you should act when we are together since we only have an hour
to be together and get my activities finished.

Instruction:
Teaching the Lesson: I will write down our rules for us as a group to
follow so we can get all of my activities finished. A rule I think
should be added to our sheet is to have quiet mouths meaning
when I am talking you should use your listening ears and have a
bubble in your mouth. Have listening bodies by sitting still and
following my directions. If we have to travel somewhere, we
should use our walking feet so we stay safe. We also should have
helping hands and caring hearts because we do not want to hurt
our friends, we want to help each other out.
Check for Understanding: What Rules of mine did you like?
Guided Practice and/or Independent Practice: Give me at least 2 rules
that you think we should go by.
Closure: We will look at our rules poster to go over the rules we just
came up with and that we will be practicing when we are
together. We will talk about each rule so they know for sure what
to do and not do for that rule.

Assessment/Evaluation:
I expect my student(s) to give 2 ideas on what rules and expectations I
have for him/her.

Objective/Evaluation/Common Core Standard: All About Me

The student will create an All About Me poster that includes 5 labels
with pictures of their favorite items, 3 labels and pictures of their
favorite books, and 3 sentences about given topics with pictures to
match.

of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in
collaboration with peers.

Materials:
Phone/camera
Student All about me template
Paper for writing and picture drawing
Pencils, Crayons, Colored pencils
Personal All about me poster

The Plan:
Anticipatory Set: I am going to introduce myself by using this poster I
made. You will also be making a poster like mine but we have to do
them each a section at a time.
Introduce the Lesson: Introduce myself by using my Personal All
About Me poster.
Instruction:
Teaching the Lesson: Talk about myself by using my personal all about
me poster
Check for Understanding: After going over my poster are they creating
their own poster a section at a time and using their own ideas.
Guided Practice and/or Independent Practice: I will guide the process
of them creating their own poster. Start with one section and once
they finish that one then move on to the next. While one student is
drawing/coloring their pictures, the other will be working with
me on reading words from my word selection.
Closure: Look at my poster, and both of their posters to see if we have
any similarities.

Assessment/Evaluation: Did they use their own ideas to create their

poster? Did they have 5 of their favorite items with labels, 3 of their
favorite books, and 3 given topics with sentences and pictures to match?

If there are 2 students one will be working on the all about me project
and then the other student will be working with me on reading
words with me. This is not a grade, its just for me to get more
knowledge on how smart you are.
While im working with the other student please do not interrupt the
student and I.
"I want you to read some words. When you come to a hard word, try
it. If you cannot read it, go on to the next word. Ill be making notes
while you read. Start here."

Instruction: The other student will be working on their all about me

topics while I am working with this student. While this student is
reading words I will be recording what he says.

Assessment/Evaluation: Look at the individual word test score sheet to

see if student(s) got 18 out of 20.

model it first. I will lay the rhyming test sheet 3 in front of the child. I
will say the name of each picture (sun, net, top, jet, mop, run). I will then
say we are going to match pictures that rhyme. I will then point to the
word sun and say this is a sun. which picture in this column (point
down 2nd column) and ask what rhymes with sun? and continue the test
sheet 3 to help the student understand the activity.

Materials:
Paper
Pencils
Coloring utensils

The Plan:
Anticipatory Set: To help Ms. Meinert to remember your names, we are
going to draw a picture of ourselves including exactly what we are
wearing.
Introduce the Lesson:
Instruction:
Teaching the Lesson: I will also draw myself (if I have 2 students,
hopefully I can get a copy made for my other student, but if not I
will draw another picture of myself so each of them can have a
draw picture of myself. Also, as I am drawing myself then they will
also be drawing themselves.

Check for Understanding: How will you draw yourself?

Guided Practice and/or Independent Practice: Student will be drawing

a picture of themselves under my supervision. If they have a
question, I would obviously answer them in the best way and
positive way possible.

Closure: Show each other the pictures we drew of ourselves and give
the pictures to each other. Both of mine would go to each of the
students and the students pictures would be given to myself.

Assessment/Evaluation: The drawing of the students had color and

looked similar to how they look.
