Peephole Chevron scarf

(yarn pictured: Caron cake in color Lilac frosting)

Skill level: Easy

Materials:

H8/5mm crochet hook

Worsted weight yarn

Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

Ch(s)- chain(s)

Sk-Skip
Sts-Stitches

tch- turning chain

Dc- double crochet

Notes:

-If you would like to make a striped scarf as pictured below, please refer to directions for colors A and B
below the main pattern. Otherwise, solid colors and self striping yarn looks nice as well

-Ch 3 counts as 1 dc

Ch 23

Row 1: Sk 3 chs (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 4 chs, sk 2 chs, 1 dc in each of the next 4 chs, ch
2, 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch, sk 2 chs, 1 dc in each of the next 3 chs, 2 dc in the last ch. Ch 3 turn (18
sts)

Row 2-116: 1 dc in base of tch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 chs, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, (1 dc,
ch 2, 1 dc) in ch 2 sp, 1 dc in next 3 dc, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 2 dc in the top of the ch 3 of
previous row. Ch 3 turn (18 sts)

Finish off, weave in ends

To make a striped scarf as pictured below:

Choose two colors, follow pattern above and change colors as indicated below:

Rows 1-4: color A

Rows 5-6: color B

Rows 7-8: color A

Rows 9-12: Color B

Rows: 13-14: Color A

Rows: 14-15: Color B

Continue in this sequence until you have 116 rows, alternating 4 rows of color A and color B with two
rows of each color in between. Reference gray and ivory pic below for any needed guidance:
