Duprey, is one of the Caribbeans leading entrepreneursa home-grown billionaire with interests in real estate, property development, banking, insurance, spirits, methanol, ethanol and the exploration and production of oil and gas.
Founded in 1936 by his uncle Cyril Lucius Duprey, Colonial Life
became the first locally owned life insurance company incorporated in T&T.
Achievements and Accomplishments
He is the owner of an insurance company known as CLICO. It started out as a holding company for eleven years. It is now CL Financial and is one of the largest local conglomerates in the region, encompassing over 65 companies in 32 countries worldwide.
He worked with a global engineering company where he
gained experience in Project Management as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Duprey serves as Group Executive Chairman of CL
World Brands Limited. He served as President of C L Financial Ltd. He serves as Chairman of CMMB Securities and Asset Management Ltd.
He served as Chairman of Home Construction Limited and
Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited.
He served as Executive Chairman of Angostura Holdings
Ltd. since 1999.
He served as Executive Chairman of the Supervisory Board
at Angostura Holdings Ltd.
He served as Director of Belvdre since June 27, 2003.
Mr. Duprey served as a Director of Lascelles De Mercado &
Co. Ltd. since April 30, 2008 to August 4, 2009.
He has been very active in developing the savings potential
of the people in the Caribbean region through home ownership and financial instruments.
He was awarded the Chaconia Medal (Gold) at the 1999
Independence Day Awards.
Mr. Duprey is graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce
degree and did post graduate work in Business Administration.
