in multiple of the movements within the wiggle box. For
example: hop on one foot like a flamingo, and bend
down to touch their toes (The Kindergarten Program,
2016, pg. 179).
2. The children will (Self-Regulation and Well-Being: 8.1)
demonstrate spatial awareness in activities that require
use of large muscles, as they complete movements in
their place without hitting the children or furniture
around them (The Kindergarten Program, 2016, pg.178).
3. The children will (Self-Regulation and Well-Being: 3.2)
demonstrate the ability to take turns during activities and
discussions, as they are able to patiently wait for their
turn to pick a movement, as well as engage in the
movements other children have chosen happily (The
Kindergarten Program, 2016, pg.167).

Teaching Strategies:

Modelling:

I will model for the children so that they can visually see an
example of what they will do during our wiggle box experience. I
will choose a card from the box, pick a number and engage in the
movement for as long as the number I choose.

Telling, Explaining, Informing:

I will explain to the children what we will be doing during the

activity through simple sentences. As I am modelling for the
children, I will use words to tell them exactly what I am doing so
that they can see as well as hear my actions. By explaining to the
children, it will assist them in comprehending the overall
experience. I will also explain to children what each move is if they
happen to have a question or if they are unsure.
