“Bits and Pieces of Info to Make Life on the Ranch Easier to Manage”
What’s Happening Around Town
Welcome to ACA! I am so pleased to
have your son or daughter in my class for the
2010-2011 school year! It has been a REAL
JOY getting to know your child the past
three days! I am excited about this year, and
I trust God’s richest blessings will be upon
you and your family as your little one begins
kindergarten!
I believe good communication between
parents and teachers is vitally important to a
successful year for students. Therefore, I
try to communicate frequently by email,
weekly newsletter, and HORSE folder. You
are welcome to email me at any time at
melissa.hult@ankenychristianacademy.com.
I also update my “Class Notes” page at our
school website. Please let me know if I can
serve you in any way!
We will have an opportunity to sit down
together as parents and teacher to talk
about what your child will be learning this
year, what our day will look like, and how my
discipline system will work at this year’s

ing , . A staggered
meeting schedule has been arranged so par-
ents can attend multiple classroom meetings
with other teachers. Our class meeting will
be from 6:30-6:55 p.m. in our room, so please
make plans to join us on Thursday evening!

Answers to Questions on the Ranch
A: Yes! I find it is easier for students to
function when their tummies are full, so I
usually offer them a small measure of cere-
al in the morning and a more substantial
snack in the afternoon. Cheese sticks,
fruit, crackers, pretzels, and other pack-
aged snacks work best. We do have a cou-
ple students with , , and
; therefore, we need to be
extra sensitive with food related activities
this year. I am providing snacks for this
week, but there will be a sign-up sheet at
the parent open house for those families
who might be willing to supply snacks for
our class. Please consider signing up to
bring some sort of prepackaged snacks for
a week! I will keep the list posted outside
our classroom, and I would appreciate
your willingness to help in any way you can
this year! Thank you!
A: I will send home rest mats
to be washed and put through the dryer.
You are welcome to send a large, two gal-
lon bag to school, so your child can
store his or her blanket in a sealed contain-
er each day. I trust God will protect all of
us from pests this year, but please let me
know if exposure is possible! Thanks!

The start of this new school year has

been such a blessing, and I am grateful for
all you have done to support and encour-
age me! Your willingness to provide needed
supplies for your child for this school year
is a blessing to him or her and to me! I am
thankful for the kindness you have shown
to me as well with words of encouragement,
notes, and gifts of my own supplies! Thank
you for your generosity!
I also want to express my appreciation
for those who have already stepped
forward and graciously volunteered to
serve in a variety of areas! Your help is
greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
