PRIME FUNCTION / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides a data entry service for WNHS using the
Clinical Incident Monitoring System database.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF DUTIES

1. Processes all documents and enters data into the Clinical Incident Monitoring System (CIMS)
database logically and accurately.

2. Liaises with relevant personnel on matters related to the maintenance of the database.

3. Maintains document filing systems.

4. Undertakes general office duties as required.

5. Undertakes and delivers training as required for incident data entry.

6. Paticipates in quality improvement activities.

7. Performs other duties as directed by the Risk Manager and CIMS Coder.

8. Maintains strict security and confidentiality of data.

9. Complies with NMAHS policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and other relevant
legislation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


1. Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10) or approved equivalent.
2. Accurate keyboard/data entry skills and excellent attention to detail.
3. Demonstrated computer skills and experience in word processing and knowledge of
computerised database systems.
4. Demonstrated ability to meet data processing schedules.
5. Proven ability to liaise and communicate with others.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Familiarity with medical terminology.
2. Experience with a Clinical Incident Monitoring System or other relevant system.
3. Experience working within a health care setting.
4. Current knowedge and commitment to Equal Opportunity in all aspects of employment and
