President of Russia
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,

Seeing that your nation enjoy great peace through you and that
through your forethought reforms are taking place in your nation, at all
times also in all places we acknowledge this, Your Highness President
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with greatest thankfulness. But I may not
detain you any further, I beg you to hear me briefly in your kindness.

As I have known, Russia's "Federal Law on Extremist Activity" is

being misapplied to Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia. Jehovah's Witnesses
strive to be good citizens. We are known worldwide for our legitimately
not be construed as "extremist" or criminal in nature.

To this end, I humbly request your intervention to this unlawful

action being imposed to our brothers and sisters living as citizen in your
country. I hope that through your kindness the Russian authorities will
stop the legal action being taken against the branch office and the
congregation in Russia so that our brothers and sisters can continue to
gather peacefully for Christian meeting without interference. Our
congregation meeting rally helps us to be a responsible person to our
family, for a peaceful community where we live and how to be faithful to
God.

In addition, the activity pof Jehovah's Witnesses and the

publications that we produce encourage, love of God and neighbor, love of
family, and respect for government. There is absolutely nothing "etremist"
or criminal in such Bible based publications.

Indeed, I express my appreciation for the laws of the Russian

government that guarantees freedom of religion to all citizens. I hope
that this humble request responded positively through your knidness and
wisdom. Thank you for taking note of this message.
