J
on and Robs Steakhouse Roundup was born after Jon and Rob won a
BBQ cook-off for a school fund raiser at McFatter Technical High School.
They teamed up and opened a restaurant near campus and employed
students. Many weeks were spent cooking, experimenting with recipes,
and planning until they had a repetoire of dishes with which they were hap-
py. They then decided to take the leap by quitting their daytime jobs and
open the restaurant.
Jon and Rob are committed to bring local ingredients to their patrons. They
strive to support our local economy by using ingredients and specialty se-
lections from beloved companies in the area, such as SoFlo Cattle Ranch and
BB Beverages.
Over the years, Jon and Robs Steakhouse Roundup has become a favorite
in South Florida. Many locals are on a first name basis with staff, as they fre-
quent the establishment on a regular basis. Even the mayor has his weekly
community meetings in the steakhouses side-room.
