The College Management System is an internet based application that can be accessed
throughout the institution or a specified department. This system is being developed in a college
to maintain and facilitate easy access to information. This system can be used as a
knowledge/information management system for the college. For a given student and staff
(technical/Non-technical) can access the system to either upload or download some information
from database.
Introduction
Using this system we can manage all information of all aspects of a college, its students,
faculties, Departments, marks and other curricular activities. College management system
provides the easiest way to manage all functionalities of a college. This system facilitates
colleges to maintain the functionality related to college employees and their students.
College Management System can store and manage all data of the various departments
of a college like Administration, Attendance, Staff details etc. Using this system teacher can
check student attendance anytime. College administration can also manage college work easily.
Problem Statement
To design and develop an automated system, the project should carry out various tasks
that under goes college management. It will control all activities for a particular college. To
handle all the tasks, system has been divided into different modules and presented on a single
window, so that its user can handle it in eco-friendly manner.
Objectives
This is a web oriented application allows us to access the whole information about the
college, staffs, students, facilities etc.
Here we will get the latest information about the students and staffs.
This generic application designed for assisting the students of an institute regarding
information on the courses, subjects, classes, assignments, grades and timetable.
It also provides support that a faculty can also check about his daily schedule, can upload
assignments, and notices to the students.

Joint Application Development (JAD)
Joint application development (JAD) is a prototyping life cycle methodology that uses
collaborative JAD workshops to depict the business viewpoint of end users (or customers) for
effective solution development. In project development, the historical approach involves
individual stakeholder interviews, which may not yield appropriate required output. JAD team
workshops are geared toward summarizing and resolving development issues through a joint
effort between developers and end users.
