Nisei Week Parade MARK YOUR

CALENDARS
Band members marched in their first parade of the year at the Nisei Week parade
on August 14, 2016. Students got a chance to explore the interesting shops around Mondays
Little Tokyo (as well as
Rehearsal
catch some Pokmon).
Some even sampled donuts 4 P.M.-7 P.M.
topped with bacon!
After what seemed like Sept. 5
hours of waiting in the
Labor Day Holiday
scorching sun, the parade
finally commenced. The
Aztec band endured despite Sept. 15
the many hardships of the
Booster meeting
parade, including numerous
halts. The band was 6 P.M.
extremely thankful that they
were in front of the horses
during the parade! Although the newest additions to the Aztec Band had been Sept. 17
somewhat apprehensive about their first parade, the band did well considering that Recycle for Music
they had only had one week of practice before the parade.
