Veteran's Day Parade CALENDARS
Students marched last month
in the yearly Veterans Day parade Dec. 9
located in Long Beach. After a long
parade, which thankfully had very Winter Concert
little horse poop, band members 7 P.M., auditorium
enjoyed going to the nearby
festival. Many bought deliciously
cold Italian ice. Dec. 11

Band members from Mark Keppel, San Gabriel, and Alhambra
High School performed at the annual Tri-City on November 16, 12 P.M.
something that they had been preparing for the entire semester. The
night began with each band marching around the San Gabriel High
Dec. 15
School track while playing their march, followed by all three bands
performing The Star Spangled Banner. The Aztec Band was first to Boosters meeting
perform their field show, Out of This World, which included the 6 P.M.
songs Jupiter, Venus, Fly Me to the Moon, and Star Wars. The
band was complimented by several on their appearance and unity.
After the three bands had performed, they all performed the Dec. 17
song Exs and Ohs with eighth graders from various schools. The Recycle for Music
three high schools proceeded to play Come Out and Play and Bang
8 A.M.
Bang. To Dr. Bartletts surprise, they began to play Rose Parade Cha Cha when it was
announced that the bands would be playing Seven Nation Army. This was a song that
Dr. Bartlett had written herself, and the three bands had conspired together to surprise
the retiring band director.
Even after the official end of Tri-City, the Mark Keppel and San Gabriel Bands
continued to enjoy themselves and bond in their traditional way.
