HOSPITAL TRIAGE

Hospital triages will dictate the severity of the injuries of the victim using the above criteria and

the judgement of the senior trauma surgeon

It decides on who gets operated first,

o Usually the severely injured with the best chance of survival

In the same manner, when the resources of the unit is brought to its limit or special care is

necessary

o Then inter hospital triage can be used to transefer patients to the concerned specialty of

care.
