1 Introduction
Theprogramtakesthreesemesters.Thefirsttwosemestersarededicatedtolectures,seminarsand
projects.ThethirdsemesterisreservedfortheMaster'sthesis.ThecurriculumoftheMaster'spro
gramhasbeentailoredtowardstheintermediationofexpertisethatisrequiredtoworkonproblems
indevelopmentofelectronicsystemsinautomobiles.Itmediatesthespecialoftheengineerscientific
approach.Itexplainsthemeansoflanguageandsymbolstobeusedinautomobileprojects.However,
scientificorientedworkinamasterprogrammeansthatstudentslearnindependentlyandsolelyre
sponsible.

Multidisciplinarymodulesstructuretheprogram.Thesubjectsofthemodulesemanatefrommechan
icalengineering,electricalengineering,mathematicsandengineeringmethodology.

Aimofthisprojectistocreateatestbenchforshortcircuittestsonlithiumioncellsandcellstacks.The
studentsareaskedtobuildacustomizedversionofaremotecontrolledswitch/circuitbreaker,doingthe
mechanicaldesign,theconstructionandtheassemblyofalltheparts.Thebenchwillbeaflexiblecon
structionforresearchpurpose.Allthepartsshouldbeeasilydismountable/tocleanandweightingless
than15kg.Theelectricalresistanceshouldbebelowoffivemilliohm.Thedeviceshouldcloseandopen
thecircuitremotecontrolled.Safetyoftheresearchpersonalhasbetakeninaccount.

mallyaprestudyisperformed.Theprestudymaybeliteraturesearch,introductoryinvestigationsorstate
oftheartsurveys.
Thereportmustcompriseadescriptionoftheproblem,theresultsandthework.Prototypesorproducts
developedaspartoftheworkmaybeincludedaspartofthethesis.
Theseminariscloselyandindivudallyrelatedtosubjectandapproachesofthestudent'sthesis.Bothwillbe
presented,defendedanddiscussed.
