The story of Percy Jackson in the book comes to life through a 107-minute movie entitled Percy Jackson:

Sea of Monsters.
Percy Jackson played by Logan Lerman is a demigod son of Poseidon who lives together with a
demigod named Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario) and Satyr Grover (Brandon T. Jackson) in Camp Half
Blood. One day, a Colchis Bull breaches a barrier that protects the camp, and soon after Thalia's Pine
Tree, that provided the barrier, begins to die. The camp, then, becomes vulnerable to attack. To save
the tree, Percy and his friends go to the dangerous Sea Monsters to find the legendary Golden Fleece.
At the same time, Luke (Jake Abel) also wants it to revive the most evil god, Kronos.
Although the movie is inspired by the book, it does not live up to it. In other words, the movie
does not turn out as good as the book, which is rather disappointing for readers and book addicts.
The terrific performance from the main actor, Logan Lerman, does not redeem it. Comp ared to the
previous movie, the franchise will likely stop after this less appealing movie. Though the movie has
some highlights, with Nathan Fillion playing Hermes and Ron Perlman being the voice of Polyphemus,
they fail to enhance Percy Jackson as a movie worth seeing.
All in all, viewers can skip the movie and read the book instead, since the movie is not worth their
time and cash.
