Based on the data result from the solidworks flow simulation, the counter flow has higher

range of temperature change. This data results in higher LMTD which also means higher heat
transfer. The comparison between the two heat exchangers is based on their heat transfer rate. It is
therefore concluded that Counter current flow of fluids in heat exchanger is more efficient than
parallel flow. High heat transfer rate implies that the cooling or the heating of fluid in the heat
exchanger is achieved at greater efficiency.
