It is with great pleasure that I recommend Jessica Podmokly for an elementary

teaching position. I believe she is an excellent candidate and will be an asset to
your school community.

I have known Jessica professionally for the past year. She began volunteering
last year as a senior at Sacred Heart University in my first grade classroom. She
was eager to learn the curriculum and routines of first grade. She was able to
jump right into whatever we were working on and assist and encourage my
students. My students looked forward to her weekly visits and counted down the
days until she came back. Her enthusiasm for working with children was
contagious and she continued to visit long after she met her volunteer hours
quota.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be Jessicas cooperating

teacher from January-March of this year. It has truly been a pleasure to watch
her grow from a student volunteer to a hardworking and organized teacher.
Jessica promotes a positive classroom environment where students thrive
emotionally and academically. She plans differentiated lessons where all
students can be successful on their just right level. She challenges students to
be kind and fair and treat others with respect. Jessica has a wonderful rapport
with parents and colleagues alike. She is conscientious, flexible, and a valued
member of our grade level team.

During the time I have known her, Jessica has shown energetic enthusiasm for
learning and openness to new ideas. She is organized, inquisitive, flexible, and
reliable. Jessica continues to impress me with her knowledge, skill and
dedication to her work. Jessica will be a wonderful addition to the teaching
