Objective I will begin to delve into research about disciplinary literacy and gain an
(SMART Goal) understanding of what it is, and how it may come to life in a science
classroom. I will explore many resources and start to develop a personalized
understanding of disciplinary literacy and its importance in education.

On-going this is going to be a goal that lasts the length of my teaching career.
I will always be learning about ways to better implement disciplinary literacy
into my science classes, and will learn from experts but also from experience.
This is going to be a journey I continue to pursue, even after my PS3
internship.
