JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Scale Operator (Staff 1) DIVISION: LOGISTICS


DEPARTMENT: PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION
PORTS TO: PDG Supervisor SUPERVISES: TRAFFIC OPERATION
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Ensures timely, complete and accurate weighing of incoming raw materials, bunker and other supplies,
outgoing deliveries of finished goods and other steel products

KEY CUSTOMERS:
1. SteelAsia Customers 3. Truckers
2. Sales and Marketing 4. Scrap sales

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reports to assigned work area and follow all safety rules and regulations

2. Wears uniforms properly during working hours and while inside the plant premises

3. Receives filled lift ticket from truck drivers or assistants, weigh trucks and reports discrepancies to
supervisor for verification/corrective action

4. Prepares all necessary delivery documents without delay, complete and accurate

5. Ensures regular calibration and maintenance of truck scale equipment

6. Prepares report of weighed incoming and outgoing cargoes

7. Ensure proper filing of all delivery documents and traceable at any given time.

8. Take over cargo processor or delivery monitoring position when necessary

4. Ensures working area are in safe, clean and efficient environment

5. Coordinates to loading supervisors and other concerned personnel all activities necessary for delivery to
avoid delay.

6. Attend training concerning delivery and traffic operations to maintain flexibility in accordance with
company multi-tasking program.
