Livestock plays an major role in sustaining livelihood, nutritional and environmental security of rural

people. We have achieved growth in terms of number, but need to achieve growth in terms of per animal
productivity. Shortage of feed resources in our country has been documented various governmental and non-
governmental organizations, but several locally available feed resources feeding of animals are not considered
in this account. .
