Classroom Procedures
*My classrooms procedures will ensure constant classroom routines and expectations for my
students. In addition to these procedures, students will always be encouraged to talk to me
about anything going on in their lives. These procedures will be flexible to any serious student
issues brought to my attention as well as any ESL student need or student with an IEP.
General Procedures
A. Beginning of Period
a. Students will be in their assigned seats when the final bell rings.
b. Students will work on assigned bell work while the teacher takes attendance
based on assigned seats.
c. Students will use this time to turn in any late work or obtain any absent work
from the absent work folder.
B. Instructional Time
a. Students will remain in their seats and pay attention to the teacher during
instructional time.
b. Students will follow teacher instructions for any group work or activities
throughout the class.
C. Ending of Period
a. Students will pack up their materials, and clean up their area as directed by the
teacher.
b. Teacher will dismiss the class.
D. Leaving the classroom
a. If a student needs to leave to the restroom or nurse they will signal the teacher
(using assigned hand signal) before leaving.
i. Only one student may leave to the restroom at a time. Students will sign
out before leaving, and take the hall pass with them.
E. Materials
a. Students are expected to bring a pencil, red pen, notebook, and folder to class
every day.
b. Students may borrow materials from the teacher in exchange for collateral.
F. Classroom Materials
a. Students may check out a book from the teacher by signing it out.
b. Students may use hand sanitizer, pencil sharpeners, tissues, and other general
classroom supplies at any time.
Late Work/ Make Up Work/ Revisions Procedures
A. Students may complete late work by following these steps:
a. Complete a Late Work Form (found in the front of the classroom).
b. Staple the completed Late Work Form to completed late work.

c. Submit packet to the Late Work Folder by the end of the unit
B. Students who missed an assignment because of an excused absence may complete their
work, and submit it to the absent work file at the front of the classroom. Students have
one day for every excused absence to complete their work, or it will be considered late.
C. Students may submit revisions to unit tests for half credit one week after the test by
turning their work into the revisions folder at the front of the classroom.
Attendance Procedures
A. Attendance is taken on the beginning of class.
B. Tardy: Students who are tardy will enter the class and quietly take their seat. Any work
or assignments missed will be collected at the end of class.
C. Students may complete their work for full credit if missed during an excused absence.

Extra Credit
A. Students may complete an extra credit assignment found on the online teachers page.
Assignment must be completed by the end of the semester.
B. Other extra credit opportunities may appear throughout the semester at the teachers
discretion.
Technology
A. Students will adhere to the school technology policy found in their agenda.
B. Teacher will strictly enforce school technology policies.
Emergency Procedures
A. Students will behave and follow teacher instructions with care during a fire drill, lock
down, or any other emergency drill.
