RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Evernote is a cross-platform, free application designed for note taking, organizing, and archiving. The app
allows users to create notes which can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a
photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can be
sorted into a notebook, tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, and exported as part of a notebook.
When you sign up it gives you three options on whether you would like to organize your life, be more
productive, or take better notes.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

As a teacher I would be able to use this website to create checklists for what students may need when completing an assignment.
This is also another option for students to use when they want to create a group document. It gives not only the students, but
also myself, a place to organize work and essential (attempt) to declutter our lives. I feel as though I would have the students use
this program in order to take better notes, but that could always change in the future. For note taking students will be able to
add attachments and draw/ write on PDFs with the desktop application. They are also allowed to save article sand webpages. The
website also allows you to set reminders for when assignments are due, which would help students to remember when to turn in
their projects. We could use the notebook option to create different sections for each unit.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
I would rate it a 3 on the value-adding rating scale.
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
- I decided that this application would be a 3 because it could be used throughout the entire year and could be used by
both the students and myself.
