Lesson idea implementation: For this lesson, students will be assigned either a consumer, a producer, or a
decomposer, which are found in our ecosystem. The student will be responsible for naming at least five
organisms that belong to the category that they are assigned. The student will put the pictures of the
organisms on an IMovie and explain what the organisms are and why they belong in the Consumer,
Producers, or decomposers category.

Importance of technology: This technology is important because the student will be able to learn and create a
document of their own and give brief explanations of what they have learned in class. This technology helps
student be in control of their learning versus teachers controlling what they learn.

Inspiration (optional): Science class

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: To protect students from certain content on the internet I will provide a
list of websites that are approved by the school. I will send home a permission slip home to the parents to
clarify that these will only be presented to the class. The students will have to bring the permission slip back
signed by the parent.
