Introduction: We will start the lesson by watching the Disney Youtube clip on how to draw Disney characters for inspirations. 2. After the video, we will gather materials to practice hand drawing the art we just saw being drawn. 3. Next we will discuss the technology assignment and get out our computers. 4. I will then pull up the Webquest to go over the assignment and answer questions. 5. Students will then choose a story to create an animation based off of. 6. Students will watch the Youtube tutorial on how to get started with Animaker. 7. Students will begin working on animation and will do so until the middle of class the following day. 8. Students will save their animations so that they can be shown to the class.
Teacher Technology Activity Using my WebQuest, I will provide
specific instruction for the assignment. I will pull it up on the whiteboard and go over it with students to be sure that the instructions are clear. Student Created Technology Activity The students will create an animation using Animaker. This is an easy tool to create short animations perfect for the assignment. They will be able to create it and share it with the class. Materials needed Technology- Laptop/Desktop Computers Technology- Smartboard Non-technology- Paper and colored pencils Evaluation Rubric Make sure that you have completed the assignments fully and are able to: 1. Navigate through Animaker easily 2. Create a story with the animation created 3. Tie the story into the stories provided 4. Include details that make your story stand out from the rest
