- In his two volumous books he stated Whoever seeks paths for knowledge other than the
path of salafs as saliheen will be useless

Our priorities in seeking knowledge

o We prepare for our salvation before others so we save ourselves before thinking
and worrying about others.
o Wisdom of the creation that is only to worship Allah and Allah alone.
o Ibadah goes to waste if shirk enters into our belief.

Allah has legislated about different type of worship

Classified as

Fard or Wajib

a. Synonymous i.e. Same meaning

b. is a commandment legislated by Allah to do something (binding and compulsory)
c. Ruling or consequence is the one doing it will be rewarded and punished if neglectfull
d. Another definition is the one doing it will be rewarded if it is in obedience to Allah and
deserves punishment if neglectfull.

Types of Waajib

e. Fard al Ayn each and every mukalaf should ahere

f. Example Imaan in Allah and messengers
g. Fard Al Kifaayah collective obligation : becomes sunnah for others if other groups
perform it.
h. Example Salaatul Janaazah

Definition of Mukalaf

i. Baaliqh (mature) + aaqil (intelligent or aware)

Categories of Waajib

j. Huqooq of Allah of right of Allah upon the slave

i. Tawheed, Salaah
k. Huqooq Al Ibad Right of slaves upon each other
i. Obedience to parents
Naafil Mustahab/Mandoob naadab is the root word

l. Is a commandment legislated by Allah to do something that is not binding or compulsory

m. Ruling of consequence doing for it you are rewarded and the one who leaves it will not
be punished.
n. Example Sunnah before after various prayers.
