I am writing to you in regards to my application for a nursing position advertised on the Marshfield Clinic
website. I am interested in a career as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at Marshfield Medical
Center.

I will be graduating from University of Arizona College of Nursing with my BSN in December, 2017. I thrive on
fast-paced environments and enjoy caring for a variety of patients. I have a positive energy that will bring
smiles to patients as well as other unit staff. Although I will be a new graduate, I believe that my experience in
this program has prepared me for a position as a nurse in the ED.

My experiences in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, as well as my clinical experiences in nursing school have affirmed
my desire of becoming an emergency department nurse. In nursing school, I worked alongside an ED nurse
for my preceptorship at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. There I learned what to expect while
working in the ED and how to best care for a diverse patient census. I also was able to concentrate on
improving the skills necessary for nursing in the ED.

I am very excited about this opportunity to join your healthcare team at Marshfield Clinic. I look forward to
