Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Natural Resources investment banking group is looking for an analyst to join the class of 2013 or 2014 in New York. Current investment banking experience is
required. Experience in Natural Resources is preferred, but not mandatory.

The Natural Resources Group is a global team with bankers around the world. The group has a significant presence with offices in New York, Houston, Toronto,
Calgary, London, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires, among others. The group covers Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Power & Utilities, and Energy (including Alternative and
Renewable Energy).

Investment Banking Analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firms businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop
key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts create and analyse financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the
effects of client alternatives. In addition, analysts organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies
to meet client goals. Analysts may also participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions. From maintaining client
communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs banking teams. Goldman Sachs seeks highly
motivated, successful candidates for the analyst position in New York.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree and be available to start immediately (subject to any notice period required by their current employer, if
applicable)
Current experience as an investment banking analyst (or related financial position)
Natural resources banking and transaction experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications
Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong quantitative and technical abilities
An outstanding academic record
Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills
Prior investment banking experience a significant asset
