A novel written by Jose Rizal was entitled "Noli Me Tangere" in 1884 at Madrid.

It is translated from Latin

which means "Touch me not" and was taken from the Gospel of John in the bible. Rizal wrote this novel because this
is his way of fighting and reveal the inhumane manipulation of the Spanish government in the Philippines. Through
that, other Filipinos were motivated to get the freedom. This novel used metaphoric characters to represent or
describe the different characteristics of those people who act as the ruler of the colonization and also those people
who were innocent and abused by the Spaniards. The purpose of this novel is to kill the criticism, defend the
innocents and also to publicize the bad smell of the Spanish colonial in our country and the Philippine society. If I can
bring back the time of the revolution and I'll be one of the characters in Noli Me Tangere, I would choose to be a
Crisostomi Ibarra. He has enough knowledge since he spent 7 years of studying in Europe. Like Jose Rizal he used
his intellegence to fight the Spaniards. I would do the same since I idolized him the way he defend and protect our
country, he even sacrifice his life to seek freedom. But how I'm going to fight my side to the Spaniards before
choosing to become a Crisostomo Ibarra? As I have said, I'll do the same like how Rizal fight to gain freedom for our
country. I am going to use my mighty hands and pen and also my intellegence mind to produce a big blister to
awaken and set Filipinos free from being imprisoned to the world full of criticism and despair and bring them back to
the reality. I want a silent war and not a bloody war because I think this is the only way to attain freedom without
passing through a bloody fight. Dr. Jose Rizal is very influencial because of what he did for the country, especially in
my life. He inspires me to strive really hard in life. Some people says,"Education is the important key to success."
Remembering his principles teaches me how to be like him in a way that he made difference for our country. I know
that there are lot of ways to fight for the independence from the Spanish colonization, but using intellegence which I
think is the best way. As I have said I don't want a bloody war instead I just want a silent war.
