With the end of the term fast approaching I would like
to share the organisation for 2018. Rosie Milne, who
has been on maternity leave, has resigned and
Ancey Wamiri is returning from leave, which has
meant a slight change in teaching staff for 2018. The BOT have
appointed a Deputy Principal, Sherilyn Hall. Sherilyn is currently
teaching at Maranatha Christian School and before that was
teaching at Dyer St School. She brings a huge wealth of knowledge
of the curriculum and is looking forward to joining Epuni School.

The staff have begun planning for 2018 and have some exciting
ideas and activities for the new year.
The end of the year also means we will be saying goodbye to some
staff and our Year 6 students. We will be farewelling our long term
relievers Rosie Hopkins (Yr 5/6 teacher), Vivienne Duxfield (NE
teacher), Ann Prior (Yr3/4 teacher), as well as Fine Aisea (Teacher
Aide) and Dawn Rice (Teacher Aide) who will be moving on with the
students they have been working with.
I would like to say a huge thankyou to all these staff members, they
have all given so much to Epuni School. I wish them all the best for
the next path their journey takes them on. To our Year 6 students,
all the best and make the most of every opportunity that comes your
way at Intermediate.
Lastly I would like to wish you all a fantastic holiday break and time
with your families, and look forward to
catching up with you all in 2018.

Calling all near 5 year olds! If you have a child turning
5 this year or 2018, please contact the school office
for an enrolment pack if you have not already done
so. If you have family or friends living in our area who
also have a child turning 5 please let them know to
contact the school office on 939-7702 as soon as
possible.

Should we have a School Uniform?

We should have a school uniform
because then we would know what
to wear every day. Everyone would
know what school we went to. When
we wear our uniform, we can
represent the school. Finally, we
should wear uniforms because it
makes us ONE school.
Should we have talent shows at school? By Michelle
Hi! I am here to persuade you to think we should have
more talent shows at school. Firstly, we should have
talent shows because we get to know what others like
doing. Secondly, we will get some respect, like a prize.
(Example Wow, youre a good dancer, Michelle!)
Another reason why we should have talent shows once a
year is because we show what were good at and
persuade others to try it themselves. Everybody knows
that trying new things is the best. That is why we should
have talent shows once a year.
Allow a 2-hour break in school -By Kamden
We should have a 2-hour break because this will give the
children more time to use up energy. Teachers will get
heaps more time to organise work and have more time
with zero distractions. This would make school more
enjoyable for the students.
Please Principal and teachers allow a 2-hour break.
