MEMORANDUM

TO : Mrs. Lisa Ramirez

FROM : Karina Bernard
DATE : December 4, 2017
SUBJECT : Collaboration Reflection Memo

The Vice president of Orion Energy Partners is in the process of expanding its overseas
operations to Asian Markets. As a result, the group was tasked to collect information for a
business report on an Asian country, China, where English is not spoken regularly. The group
wrote a report for new recruits who will be relocation to China.

Learning Points from the Collaboration

This collaboration experience offered me a chance to enhance my interpersonal skills. This
proposal stretched over several weeks which allowed me to become familiar with my group
members strengths and weaknesses. The most challenging part of this collaboration was to
gather the most important information necessary and be able to state it clearly.

Successful Collaboration
I would consider this collaboration successful since my group members cooperated well for the
most part. We worked together as a team to brainstorm the various topics necessary for the
proposal to be successful. Each member was assigned four topics to compile information along
with the references. The information was emailed to the project manager on the day of our
groups deadline in order to meet the deadline of the teacher.

Self-Recommendations
In order to increase the quality of work produced by this collaboration, the following may be
improved:
The communication between group members; communication occurred at last minute
sometimes which may lead to lower quality of work.
An outside source could have evaluated the final draft.
Meetings; there could have been more meetings to discuss the collaboration.
