CONNECTING THE ROLE OF PARENTS WITH CHILD NUTRITIONAL STATUS


OF PRE-SCHOOL AGE picky eaters AT TK trident Perwari SINGOTRUNAN
BANYUWANGI YEAR 2017

Parents are component family consisting of father and mother, and is the result of a
valid marriage bond that can form a family. Parents have a responsibility to educate, nurture,
meet kebutungan food and guide their children to reach a certain stage that delivers the child
to be ready in social life.the role of parents in dealing with toddlers with picky eaters is that
parents should be a good model for their children by eating along with the child, eating a
variety of fruits and vegetables, creating an environment conducive to eating, creating a
pleasant mealtime. ), Limit your intake of fruits, vegetables and some other foods as well as
show a strong preference to certain foods they like. This can lead to the nutritional needs of
children are met and do not meet nutrition.

This research using cross sectional approach, the sampling technique used in this
research is purposive sampling with the number of respondents as many as 45 respondents.
Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire the role of parents in child feeding adapting
of Comprehensive Practice questionnare (CFPQ). Nutritional Status penggukuran
measurement using W / H.Rank Spearman statistical test using the program SPSS 22.0.

From the results of the respondents were 45 respondents to the parental role
bergategori both 42 respondents and 3 respondents categorized enough. The nutritional status
of children of 45 respondents, two respondents categorized thin, very thin one category of
respondents, and 42 respondents categorized as normal. After being tested with spearmen
rank test with values = 0.05 and significant = 0.000 so Ha is received and Ho denied that
there is a relationship Role of Parents With Nutritional Status.
