1. What is Go KL?

Go KL is intended to provide a reliable, affordable, accessible, safe and

comfortable first and last mile city bus service for private vehicle users, public
transport users and tourists in Central Business District (CBD). Go KL connects
users to various places around Kuala Lumpur, such as main office blocks,
shopping centres, public transportation hubs, education institutes and tourist
attractions.

2. When Go KL was first launched?

The first two lines of Go KL, Purple and Green Line were introduced on 1st
September 2012. The new Red and Blue Line will be launched on 1st May 2014.

3. How much will I be charged for riding Go KL?

There will be no charge. Go KL is a free bus service for the time being.

4. How can Go KL benefit the commuters?

Go KL helps users to save money by allowing users to move around KL with no
cost. With the availability of park & ride facility, users can reduce the fuel usage
of their private vehicles for the day. Go KL also offers users convenience as the
stops are assigned to major shopping malls, business centres and public
transport hubs. In addition, Go KL increases the mobility of KL visitors by
reducing the number of private car users in CBD during peak hours. Go KL is
eco-friendly since the buses are NGVs, and fewer vehicles in CBD means less
carbon footprint.

5. Does Go KL bus cater for disabled people?

Yes, the buses are equipped with disabled facilities.

6. Does Go KL bus have free WiFi?

Yes, the buses are equipped with free WiFi.

7. How many lines do Go KL have?

There are four lines :
Green Line : KLCC Bukit Bintang
Purple Line : Pasar Seni Bukit Bintang
Blue Line : Medan Mara Bukit Bintang
Red Line : KL Sentral Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman

8. How many stops do each lines have?

There are 65 stops in total :
Green Line : 14 stops
Purple Line : 15 stops
Blue Line : 17 stops
Red Line : 19 stops
9. What are the operations hours for all lines?
Operations hours for all lines are :
Monday Thursday : 6.00am-11.00pm
Friday - Saturday : 6.00am-1.00am
Sunday : 7.00am-11.00am

10. What is the frequency of Go KL bus?

The frequency for all lines is 5 minutes during peak hours and 10 minutes during
non-peak hours.

11. What are the operations hours for all lines?

Operations hours for all lines are :
Green Line : 45 minutes
Purple Line : 60 minutes
Blue Line : 45 minutes
Red Line : 60 minutes

12. How does Go KL bus operate?

As an example, for Red Line, the starting point will be at KL Sentral. The bus will
go to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, move in a roundabout way and ends back at
KL Sentral. The same rule applies to the other three lines.

13. Can I change between lines?

Yes, you can change the lines at the designated interchange stops below :
Between Blue Line and Red Line at Medan MARA and Maju Junction
Between Blue Line and Green Line at Concorde Hotel and Life Centre
Between Purple Line and Blue Line at Wisma MPL, Menara ING and the
Weld
Between Purple, Green, and Blue Line at Pavillion, Starhill Gallery and
Bukit Bintang

14. What are the types of places that Go KL will pass?

Go KL is focused on areas with high demands, especially those by employees
and tourists. There are more than 100 office blocks near the designated stops for
employees' convenience. Go KL also reaches more than 14 shopping centres,
more than 30 hotels, 10 education institutes, more than 8 religious buildings, and
14 tourist attractions. Go KL also stops at more than 5 public transport hubs.

15. What is the impact of Go KL?

The day after Go KL bus service was introduced, 20,000 passengers rode on Go
KL. A survey has been conducted and it has resulted in 85% of Go KL users are
Malaysians travelling to work, 10% foreign workers and 5% tourists. SPAD
expects almost 15,000 passengers will use the new lines; Blue and Red Line.

16. Do I have to book in advance?

No. You can just hop on Go KL bus at any of the stops.
