MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This Memorandum of Agreement is made and entered into by and between: Eastern
Visayas State University Ormoc City Campus represented by its University President Dr.
Dominador O. Aguirre Jr. with principal address at Tacloban City and hereinafter referred to
as the FIRST PARTY.

And the

Baybay City Division represented by the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Carmela R.
Tamayo with principal address at Baybay City hereinafter referred to as the SECOND PARTY.

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS, the First Party and the Second Party are concerned about the pre-service education
of teachers as a key to achieving sustainable quality education;

WHEREAS, the First Party and the Second Party are committed to improve the quality of
education in the Division of Baybay;

WHEREAS, both PARTIES believe that a major key to reaching that goal is a quality pre-
service training program that will provide student teachers opportunities to:

1. Develop the competencies set in the National Competency-Based Teacher Standards

(NCBTS);
2. Apply their learnings in actual classroom situations;
3. Gain comprehensive and realistic perspective of the teaching-learning situations and
day-to-day school activities and
4. Reflect on their qualities and commitment vis--vis the demands of the teaching
profession.

WHEREAS, both PARTIES believe that aside from the usual practice teaching, intensive study
is necessary to adequately prepare the student teachers for their functions and responsibilities;

NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the PARTIES agree to the following:

1. The FIRST PARTY will

1.1 prepare the students for tasks and responsibilities on their on-and-off
campus assignments though orientation, conferences, meetings, lecture
demonstrations and other similar activities;

1.2 prepare the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by the

University President and the Schools Division Superintendent of Baybay;
 1.3 coordinate with the Schools Division Superintendent and the School Head
on Deployment of the Student Teachers (ST) and Field Study Students
(FSS);

1.4 coordinate with the Coordinator of Student Teaching of the Division

regarding the activities and needs of student teachers relative to their
practice teaching;

1.5 conduct regular supervisory visits during the stay FSS/ST in the designated
cooperating school;

1.6 gather feedback from the cooperating schools on FSS/ ST

activities/performance for the improvement of the program;

1.7 conduct exit conference with the cooperating head; and

1.8 provide an incentive package/honorarium from each student teacher the

amount of P200.00 to designated teachers and P100.00 for the cooperating
school and tokens from the Field Study Students (FSS).

2. The SECOND PARTY will

2.1 conduct orientation/briefing on the school learning environment and the

community support system

2.2 allow Student Teachers(ST), Field Study Students (FSS) to observe classes and
school activities as required;

2.3 provide ST/FSS the best resource teachers/mentors;

2.4 assist the student teachers in honing their skills on:

2.4.1 lesson planning,

2.4.2 the use of varied methodologies/ strategies/ approaches/ techniques in
teaching,
2.4.3 classroom management,
2.4.4 evaluation learning outcomes,
2.4.5 the art of questioning,
2.4.6 the preparation and use of instructional materials,
2.4.7 the construction of tests and other evaluation tools,
2.4.8 the accomplishment of different forms and related work.

2.5 allow each student teacher to teach only two subjects each everyday, one in the
morning and another in the afternoon except for straight teaching where the
student teacher handles all the subjects for the day but not the exceed one week
straight teaching.

2.6 allow the student teacher/field study students to school information for research
and instructional purposes;

2.7 allow the First Party to supervise the activities of their FSS/ST in coordination
with the department heads/school heads;

2.8 submit consolidated evaluation reports on student teachers.

 This AGREEMENT shall take effect immediately upon signing by all parties concerned
and shall remain force starting AUGUST 1, 2017 until revoked by the same authorities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, parties of the agreement hereunto affix their signature this
____ day of _______________ 2017 as manifestation of their own free will and act.
