The Florida Reef is

dangers of overfishing
and climate change.
Fishing near and in
the coral reef causes
damages to the
delicate reef itself.
With fishing boats
coming into the
B shallow water, nets
being cast, and even
snorkelers coming in
C can cause significant
damage to the reef.
Climate change can
also affect the reef,
the environment we
have on land
produces waste that
can drain the life out
of the coral reef and
its inhabitants.

thousands of varying marine
animals, some of these

belonging to the Florida
Coral Reef. The Coral Reef
Provides these species with
shelters from predators and
a protected place for their
breeding grounds. Some of
the fish are Banned
Butterflyfish, Blustripped
Grunt, Blue Tang (Dory Fish),
French Angelfish, Porcupine
Fish, Queen Angelfish,
Redband Parrotfish, Sargent
Major, Spotted Drum,
Yellowtail Snapper. All of
these beautiful fish call the
Florida Coral Reef their
home.
