Example: 1250 IU [50% Retinol (Preformed), 50% beta Carotene] =? RAE

Preformed (= 625 IU):

625 IU 1 RE 1 mcg Retinol 1 RAE


= 187.69 RAE

beta Carotene (=625 IU):

625 IU 1 RE 6 mcg beta Carotene 1 RAE


= 93.84 RAE

Total RAE = 281.53 RAE

Vitamin D Converting IU to mcg [To convert IU of vitamin D to mcg, divide the IU by 40, or multiply
by 0.025]
For cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) For ergocalciferol (vitamin D2)
